Start with the daily journey.
Map arrival, waiting, service and staff movement before fixing the layout. Identify where privacy, accessible routes and clear wayfinding need attention. The bank’s security and operational specialists should define their requirements from the outset.
Plan renewal around operations.
Establish which areas can close, how contractors can gain access, and where temporary arrangements may be needed. Existing drawings, service information and surveys help the team assess a workable sequence; uninterrupted operation is a project requirement to evaluate.
Build a repeatable brief.
For several locations, separate shared requirements from site-specific constraints. A pilot can help test a layout, material approach and approval process before the wider programme is defined. Agree the responsibilities for design, specialist coordination and site supervision.

What should a bank send with an initial enquiry?
Share the city and number of sites, approximate areas, existing drawings, service model, target dates and procurement route. Identify the property, operations, IT, security and approval contacts, and whether the brief covers design, supervision or separately defined implementation.
Can the brief include head offices and training facilities?
Yes. MESA’s workplace and learning-room work provides relevant material to discuss meeting settings, focused work, collaboration and staff learning. The appointment and delivery responsibilities would be agreed for your project.
How are banking security and approval requirements handled?
The client and its appointed specialists establish the applicable security, technology and approval requirements. These become inputs to the design and coordination scope. Design imagery alone cannot establish compliance.
