PSO Learning Room was delivered by MESA as a turnkey project. The story reaches beyond the finished photograph: an existing interior opened up for work, services coordinated above the ceiling, glass and timber installed, and furniture made and brought into place. Each part contributes to the same purpose—a room with space to learn together, concentrate individually and gather around a presentation.
01 / PREPARE THE PLACE
SITE PREPARATION
The entrance and surrounding corridor record the first visible stage of the transformation. Before the finished room can emerge, the project has to meet the practical conditions of working within an existing interior.

THE EXISTING ROOM
The crew works around the earlier black-framed glazing. Changing the boundaries of a room is physical work: access, removal and preparation come before the new surfaces.

With the ceiling open, ducts, services and the supporting grid are visible together. This is the layer of coordination that the completed interior will conceal.

02 / BRING THE PARTS TOGETHER

GLAZING INSTALLATION
A large glass panel is handled into position amid the work in progress. The eventual partition separates the individual pods from the group tables while keeping both settings in view.

03 / MAKE IT FOR THE ROOM
CUSTOM FABRICATION
The curved timber framework shows the learning pod in the making. Its wraparound form is developed as a piece of furniture within the wider fit-out.

Exposed ribs and sheet material reveal the construction of the curved enclosure before its surface finish is applied. Tools, offcuts and other frames remain visible around it.
PROFILE & DETAIL
A measuring tape beside a shaped profile records a close check during the work. Turnkey delivery is carried through these smaller decisions as well as the overall room.

THE INSTALLED POD
The installed unit combines a high curved enclosure, a lime-green seat, a writing tablet and side shelves. Protective wrapping is still visible on the chair at this stage of installation.

04 / FURNISH & FINISH
FURNITURE ARRIVAL
New task chairs are lined up in the corridor, still wrapped for protection. Delivery and staging form part of the route from an empty interior to a furnished room.

The repeated lime-green seats and mesh backs are gathered along one side of the passage. Protective covers remain in place while the chairs await their next position.
FINAL FIT-OUT
Round tables are in place while cleaning equipment and temporary chairs remain in the room. The photograph captures the interval between installation and the later arranged interior.

06 / THE ROOM IN USE

The touch panel presents Active Mode, Presentation and Coffee settings alongside lighting options. It makes the room’s different intended modes visible at the point of use.

LIGHTING ATMOSPHERE
