MESA brings architecture, interiors and project coordination together around one question: how can this place serve its people better? Our experience spans institutional renewal, workplaces, healthcare, education, cultural spaces and homes.
Our profile describes a connected process from understanding the brief through design and construction. In an existing building, that means considering spatial planning, services, structure, material and delivery together. A ceiling can become a guide. A shared space can change the rhythm of a day.
We begin by listening: to the people who will use a space, to the rhythms of an organisation and to what a place already offers. Design brings those realities into focus through light, material, proportion and movement.

GHALIB RESIDENCE / THE EXPERIENCE OF EVERYDAY SPACEIn a residence, a framed view and a careful material junction can give a simple room its character. At PSO, places for focused work sit alongside settings for conversation. In the MESA studio, an expressive ceiling becomes a shared spatial identity.

We look for the few decisions with the greatest influence on a space, then give them sustained attention. Listen carefully. Test an option. Review the detail. Keep what helps; improve what doesn’t.
In a workplace, this might start with movement and collaboration. In a building renewal, it may begin with how layout, services and use fit together. Consistent review helps the initial idea carry through into the many decisions that follow.

THE PRINCIPAL
At MESA, Hissaan connects architectural experimentation with the detail and discipline of practice. His work spans cultural pavilions, workplace transformation, institutional renewal and interiors—bringing design exploration into conversation with the way a building is used.
Educated at NED University and University College London, he leads the practice’s design direction and final approvals, supported by project teams with clear ownership of their work.
